Abstract

The rapid development of technology has entered various aspects of today's society. Technology is considered to be able to answer the needs of urban people who have high mobility in a limited time. One of the technologies used is the self-ordering kiosk at McDonald's Fast Food Restaurants. This study aims to determine the effect of the dimensions of self service technology which include functionality, enjoyment, security/privacy, design, assurance, convenience, and customization partially (individually) or simultaneously (together) on service quality. From the multiple linear regression test, the result is that self-ordering kiosk technology has no effect on service quality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and test whether Word Of Mouth and Place Communication affect the Purchase Decision on the Etawa Mulia Jaya Goat Milk business in Melati II Village, Perbaungan District. The sample used in this study were consumers who were consuming Etawa Mulia Jaya Goat's Milk products with a total of 87 consumers who were taken for 3 months. The results of the study using the t-test (partial) showed that Word Of Mouth Communication had a significant effect on Purchase Decisions with a tcount value of 4.051 > ttable 1.988 and a significant level of 0.000 <0.05 and that Place had a significant effect on Purchase Decisions with a tcount value of 3.455. > ttable 1.988 with a significant level of 0.001 <0.05. The results of the study using the F (simultaneous) test showed that Word Of Mouth and Place Communication simultaneously had a significant effect on Purchase Decisions with an Fcount of 42.856 > Ftable 3.11 with a significant level of 0.000 <0.05. Based on calculations using the coefficient of determination, the Adjusted R Square value of 0.493 shows that around 49.3% of the Purchase Decision variables can be explained by the Word Of Mouth and Place Communication variables.

Abstract

Persons with Disabilities are people who experience physical, intellectual, mental or sensory limitations for a long period of time. This study aims to find out how the form of empowerment carried out by the Gowa Dekranasda in Bontolempangan and how the effectiveness of empowering persons with disabilities in the Bontolempangan sub-district, Gowa Regency. The research was conducted with qualitative methods, data collection was carried out by interviewing and selecting informants with. Purposive sampling. The research location is in the Bontolempangan sub-district, Gowa district. The results showed that 1). The form of empowerment carried out by the Gowa Dekranasda is by providing assistance to persons with disabilities in the form of production equipment. 2). The empowerment carried out for people with disabilities is bamboo crafts and sewing.

Abstract

The 2019 Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic which is endemic in almost all countries in the world has had an impact on economic growth. Even the conventional business sector really felt the decline in turnover until it went out of business. But it is different with the e-commerce business, which is expected to increase despite the COVID-19 pandemic. This journal aims to examine the increase in e-commerce during the pandemic through a literature study. The results of the study show that the e-commerce business in the world during the pandemic experienced a very significant increase. The e-commerce business in Indonesia has increased 10 times with the addition of more than 50% new customers during the pandemic. However, the process of sending goods experienced a slight slowdown due to transportation restrictions and restrictions from the government. The increase in the e-commerce business during the pandemic can be analyzed to have the potential to affect the increase in e-commerce in the future.

Abstract

Social media is now a daily food. Starting from the children to the older generation can not be separated from the existence of social media. The existence of social media makes it easier for us to obtain and convey information, gain social and economic benefits, makes it easier for us to interact with many people, expand relationships, distance and time are no longer a problem. It has been more than a year that this pandemic has changed the order of people’s lives in Indonesia. So that many places of business do not develop, and many end up in bankruptcy. All activities are carried out onlie to avoid gathering people in various places. The current pandemic is engulfing various parts of the world, including Indonesia, causing various impacts on people’s lives, especially in the economic field (many have gone out of business, many have been laid off, and others). Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to find out the role of social media during the pandemic for the progress fo the community’s economy. The results of this paper indicate that social media can play a role in restoring the community’s economy, and become an alternative during this pandemic. This study uses a literature review method, with data collection techniques via the internet, journals and books related to the theme.

Abstract

Technology is currently developing very rapidly, especially the internet which is known as a social network. Such as eliminating distance, space and time and also being able to connect with anyone and anytime. Social media also brings many impacts, both positive and negative. Social media users are mostly teenagers and children who still need supervision, therefore the big impact is on them. Social media has positive impacts and benefits in the development of science and technology, for example making it easier to communicate, finding and accessing information, developing relationships, adding friends and so on, but on the other hand social media also has a negative impact on children and society. Teenagers like the change in attitude shown after they are addicted to social networks as they become lazy because they are too busy with their social networks, they also forget their obligations as students.

Abstract

Every single company will experience several phases of company (organization) development, better known as organizational life cycle. Organizational life cycle describes the state of an organization starting from the establishment, growth, development, to performance decline and bankruptcy. Therefore, a company needs to be able to maintain its performance so it can compete and survive when entering the organizational maturity phase, so that it will not experience bankruptcy caused by mismanagement. Bankruptcy means the failure of a company to operate, so the operational cost do not match the company’s income which will cause the company fail to pay any of its obligations. This study found that some of many causes of the bankruptcy of a company are financial distress and economic distress, both refer to one problem : failure in financial management. The methodology used in this study was qualitative method. Author conducted a literature study by collection data from several sources such as articles and research journals. The data are then processed and studied to get a conclusion about factors in a company that can lead to a bankruptcy, especially those related to management system.

Abstract

This type of research uses a quantitative descriptive approach to answer problems related to the effect of cash turnover and receivables turnover on return on assets in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2020. Through the results of statistical tests with the help of SPSS software, it was found that: (1) The cash turnover variable had a significant level of 0.039 > 0.05 and a tcount value of -2.107. of 1.67022 so that it can be obtained that tcount < ttable (-2.107 < 1.67022) then this indicates that cash turnover partially has a negative and significant effect on Return On Assets; (2) The receivable turnover variable has a significant level of 0.004 <0.05 and a tcount of -3.025. To find the ttable, it was tested at a significance level of 0.05 with df = 61, then obtained a ttable of 1.67022, so that it can be obtained that tcount < ttable (-3.025 < 1.67022) then this indicates that accounts receivable turnover partially has a negative and significant effect on Return On Assets; (3) the variables of cash turnover and accounts receivable turnover have a positive and significant effect on Return On Assets with a significance value of 0.03 > 0.05.

Abstract

Organizational commitment is a topic that continues to grow because it is assessed by academics and practitioners as an important variable to determine employee behavior and performance in organizations. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of quality of work life, leadership, and perceived organizational support on organizational commitment. Respondents are employees in a company engaged in retail in the city of Surabaya with a total of 149 people. The analysis tool is multiple linear regression. The results of the study stated that the quality of work life, leadership, and perceived organizational support have a significant influence partially and simultaneously on organizational commitment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the increase in Social Science learning outcomes after applying the Zoom Meeting-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in class VIIIA SMP Negeri 2 Bangsalsari Jember in the academic year 2020-2021 semester 2. The research design used is classroom action research (classroom action research) in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings which include planning, action, observation and reflection. This research was conducted from January to February 2021. The data collection method used the test and observation method. The results of the research carried out concluded that the increase in Social Science learning outcomes after applying the Zoom Meeting-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in class VIIIA SMP Negeri 2 Bangsalsari Jember in the 2020-2021 Semester 2 academic year, amounted to 20.83% of completeness. classical learning outcomes, namely the percentage of completeness in the first cycle of 75% increased to 95.83% in the second cycle. Meanwhile, the students' average score was 13.75 from the first cycle average of 74.79 which increased to 88.54. In addition, the PBL learning carried out also increased student activity from the moderate category in the first cycle to the second cycle with the high category.
